What is Contestshipping? Contestshipping is a title for the relationship between Haruka(May) and Shuu(Drew) from Pocket Monsters(Pokemon). Both Haruka and Shuu are competing coordinators and have been rivals since they met. Although they tend to bicker a lot, Shuu almost always being the reason the bickering starts, they respect each other and encourage each other to do their best in Pokemon Contests.
Where's the evidence? As said by most fans, Contestshipping is considered the most obvious pairing in the anime, besides Pokeshipping (Kasumi/Misty x Satoshi/Ash). Shuu gives Haruka roses, at first saying they were for her Agehunt(Beautifly). In VS. Charem! Contest Battle!(Come What May!), Shuu gives Haruka a third rose and slightly admits that the roses aren't really for Agehunt. There are even a few episodes in Advanced Generation where Shuu is seen sulking or being jealous! Lastly, at the end of Gonbe's Debut Battle! Harley Taking the Game Seriously!, Haruka recieves a letter and a rose from Shuu via Lilian. It is soon later found out that the letter wasn't from Shuu, but from a rookie coordinator named Wakana. Haruka teases Shuu about the mix-ip, saying that it wasn't her fault for thinking that the rose and letter was from him. Shuu gets embarassed and blushes when his Roselia starts to agree with Haruka and teases him as well.
Why do I like this couple? Well, it's just so cute and I absoutely love it when Shuu gives Haruka roses! There are also some times when Shuu tells Haruka things that encourage her or things that he would possibly never tell anyone else. And the teasing! I find it adorable whenever Shuu teases Haruka and flipping his hair only in front of her. That is why I love this couple.
